Good and Evil
Good and evil are concepts designed to describe opposite, relative
moral concepts. There is neither universally defined "good" nor "bad". Things
are definitely not black-and-white when it comes to moral concepts. Concepts
may have values of "more good" or "less good", as well as "more evil" and "less
evil" in comparison to other concepts. Frame of reference makes all the
difference and this is where many people get confused and misdirected. On a
global scale, murder may be considered "evil" due to its detrimental effects on
the human race. However, on a local scale, murder might be means by which a community
checks the population of their race, and therefore can be construed to be "good" in
a sense. Because of the varying degrees of focus and belief, moral determinations of
good and evil are rarely clear-cut.
