Theatre Plays

I am a theatre director and amateur playwright. So far, I have written 2 full-sized Christmas plays that have been fully produced for audiences with the Franklin County Arts Council‘s annual childrens’ Christmas play series in Hampton, IA. These are productions intended primarily for casts of children but can be done with a mix of adults and children.

I am now offering these up to the public for perusal and production. Please read through the descriptions of these plays below and see if they fit the needs of your production. I am also happy to discuss with anyone various production notes/ideas/thoughts and I am very flexible in script modifications/alterations to fit situations, please contact me.

Scripts are available digitally in PDF format and you may use them digitally or print yourself through any service available. Production licensing is per-show. Video archival licensing is also available.

Licensing Costs:

  • Per-Script License: $8 (print or digital)
  • Per-Show Production License: $75 each showing
  • Video Archival Licensing: $75 one-time (recording for cast/directors/archive, not for publishing/public access)
  • Payment via PayPal or Venmo

Barely in Time For Christmas

Annie, a physicist in training, is desperately working on an experiment to develop an “aging” machine when her test goes wrong and frustrates her progress. Meanwhile at the North Pole, the elves have noticed that Santa has gone missing and isn’t in his normal hideouts. They call in reinforcements in the form of other fantastical creatures (Tooth Fairy, Easter Bunny, etc.) and use their talents to try to locate Santa. Eventually the two worlds collide and only together can Annie, her best friend Sophie, the Elves, and all the creatures get Santa back to his normal reality.

A Colorless Christmas

The city of Marble Brook is like any other small town in Anywhere, USA, except it has a special thing for Christmas — and local drama. Between an argument over a zealous potbellied pig to the outcast student Silas who refuses to get involved in anything, Seraphine, a local teenage girl, has her hands full. As time goes on, Silas’ bad-boy influence slowly pulls other students into his sullen world, removing the color from their surroundings, and threatening the annual Christmas festival. Ultimately, it takes Seraphine and a host of Christmas Spirits to bring about the salvation of Silas, the festival, and a hungry pig.
